Tax Calendar

If the original date falls on a weekend or a major national holiday, the official due date will fall on the next business day.
 
January 15 - Fourth and final installment of last years individual estimated tax is due.
 
January 31 - Employers must furnish W-2 statements to employees.  1099 information statements must be furnished to payees by banks, brokers, and other payors.
 
January 31 - Employers must generally file federal unemployment tax returns and pay any tax due.
 
February 28 - Payors must file information returns, such as 1099s, with the IRS. 
(March 31 is the deadline if filing electronically.)
 
February 28 - Employers must send W-2 copies to the Social Security Administration. 
(March 31 is the deadline if filing electronically.)
 
March 15 - Calendar-year corporation income tax returns are due.
 
April 15 - Individual income tax returns are due.  Taxes owed are due regardless of extension.
 
April 15 - Partnership returns are due.
 
April 15 - Annual gift tax returns are due.
 
April 15 - Deadline for making your IRA and Education Savings Account contributions.
 
April 15 - First installment of individual estimated tax is due.
 
April 15 - First installment of corporate estimated tax is due.
 
June 15 - Second installment of individual estimated tax is due.
 
June 15 - Second installment of corporate estimated tax is due.
 
July 15 - Deadline for filing partnership tax return if you requested an automatic extension of the April 15 filing deadline.
 
September 15 - Third installment of individual estimated tax is due.
 
September 15 - Third installment of corporate estimated tax is due.
 
September 15 - Deadline for filing corporate tax return if you requested an automatic 6 month extension of time for March 15 filing deadline.
 
October 15 - Final deadline for filing individual tax return if your application for additional 2 month extension of time to file was approved.
 
October 15 - Final deadline for filing partnership tax return if your application for additional 3 month extension of time to file was approved.
 
December 15 - Fourth and final installment of corporate estimated tax is due.
 
December 31 - Deadline for setting up most of the retirement plans.
